So, my RetroPie build finally got started – is it finished ? No. Doubt it ever will be thanks to the amount of systems it can emulate and tweaking etc you can do. Playable ? Hell yes 🙂
So whats my setup so far
- Raspberry Pi 3B+
- Official 3B+ case
- 32GB Stronium MicroSD card
- Playmax USB joypad
- RetroPie 4.4
- A heap of ROM’s (not, I won’t share)
- Steven Selph’s auto scraper
- Sega Mastersystem
- Sega Megadrive
So installing RetroPie and getting that running is pretty straightforward. So I wont go into detail on that.
The one thing I really wanted, was to see screenshots/titles of the games etc I have loaded. By default, it does not scrape these. So I tried the scraping option – it failed. It wouldnt even try to find anything.
So I found RetroPie comes with another scraping tool, but is a little more complex to get to, especially if youre not a fan of CLI/Linux based systems.
Anyway, I used the information here – and as I type this, my Pi is busy scraping away… 🙂
So shortly, I should have a whizzy looking RetroPie setup 🙂
