I purchased GTA5 on PS3 on release, and played it to death, online and offline. It was fantastic.

Over the years, I’ve still played it on PC, and then a few years ago I went to log in and got a message that I was using wrong name/password. Odd, so tried a reset – nope, wouldnt accept my email address.

Turns out, my account got hacked and they changed the address to something else. I reached out to Rock* support only to be told “tough luck” and that was it….

So I figured I’d get another copy from Steam, and start again. But for some weird reason, Rock* knew who I was and it refused to let me have another account and kept trying to log me in to my old account… this was even after a full Windows reinstall and disabled/removed OneDrive – so how they were linking me to the game, I have no clue.

I gave up.

Then when they announced the Premium Edition was coming out, I thought Id give it one more go and tried my old account again – and for some reason, it let me in!!! It was almost like Rock* had checked on accounts and reset those that had been hacked…somehow.

Was stoked, so off I went, and got into the game again – for a short while.

With the Premium edition being released, it seemed to have introduced a major bug for me…. and only me. Soon as I entered a garage in game online, the game would lock up. Tried everything I could and no change.

So gave up again.

Then recently thought Id give it another go, but stick with the legacy version. All seemed to go well….. until it started locking at the garages again.

WTF.

I give up.

GTA 6 ?

I don’t think I’ll bother.

Rock*’s support has really rubbed me the wrong way.
