So AI is doing anything and everything these days.
I use it myself for some work tasks.
But for some reason, there is a group of people who lose their shit because someone has used AI to create some advertising.
I do not have a problem with AI being used for advertising as long as :
- Its not falsifying a product – ie: a hamburger – don’t use AI to generate a “perfect” burger.
- Its not pretending to be something its not – ie: “Send me a pic of your dog and I’ll do a pencil drawing of it for $50” – then feed it to AI to do.
Someone using AI to advertise an event via a poster, who cares ? Long as the information on the poster is correct, I don’t have an issue.
I contacted one of these “pic to pencil drawing” people and asked why they were charging for something AI can do for free – I even used MS Copilot to do the same job, took 30s and cost nothing.
I never got a response.
AI has its place and usefulness, long as its being used honestly, there shouldn’t be any issue.
